Convert DVD to Xvid |

Plato DVD Ripper can easily convert DVD to Xvid formats file. Just follow steps list below, every one can backup his favourite DVD movie.
Preparation
- Install ASPI driver if your system does not have one. ( Download 491 KB )
- Install Xvid Codec if your system does not have it installed. ( Download 447 KB )
- Download Plato DVD Ripper from our website and install it to your PC.

Step 1 -Launch software, you will see its interface in right column.
Step 2 - Click "output button", select a directory and input the destination file name, and ".AVI" extension will be auto added to destination file name.
After finish that, click ok to next step.
Note: There are many buttons in main interface, For unregistered user, you can click "register" to register the software, or click order button to order plato dvd ripper online.

Step 3 - Press "Disc" or "IFO" button, Select an DVD File ( IFO ) from DVD -Rom or Hard Disc. ( Picture in Right Column is the screenshots )
After load DVD movie, Plato DVD Ripper allows you to daggle the mouse at preview column, and preview movie. For registered user, you can specify a specific point, then Plato DVD Ripper will converting from this point. |

Step 4 - Click "setting" button, press "input" tab in setting dialog, specify the subtile, audio track and other factor.
Subtitle - Most of DVD disc provides subtitles in different languages. After loading DVD movie, all of available subtiles will be list here, You can choose one for output file according to your needs.
Audio track: choose audio track ( it is strongly recommended that dolby surround should be high lighted to make audio more enjoyable.
Down sampling: Normal quality is recommended. if you choose high quality, the whole process will take you more time. |

Step 5 - Click "Output" tab, select output format as "AVI (Divx, mpeg-4) " and in video codec ,select a Xvid codec such as "Xvid MPEG -4 Codec " .Note Check the "Enable video", otherwise ,you will just only get audio output.
Besides that, you can also specify the resolution of out file. Ratio ( it is strongly recommend that you choose letter box to keep original screen ratio )
In AVI specific, you can specify more detail setting about video and audio, such as property, audio lame. |

Step -6 Click button "other", you can specify other settings such as
Volume size ( Specify output size )
Volume overlap, ( Defaults is 0 )
Shutdown the computer when job is done, ( leave converting to Plato DVD Ripper and go to sleep)
ignore message when overwriting existing file.
Step - 7 After finish all of setting, just click button "ok" and back to main interface. click "start" to begin converting till end. |
